The unique nature of adult brain tumors necessitates specific nursing considerations and interventions. This clinical practice guideline (CPG) addresses care considerations based on evidence from seminal publications and the most recent research on the subject. Resources and recommendations in this document and webinar reflect best practices that can help nurses provide optimal care for adults with brain tumors. This document is not intended to replace formal education but rather to augment the nurse’s knowledge base and provide a readily accessible reference.

Participants can be awarded 1.25 CE contact hours for watching the recording, passing the post-test with a score of 70% or higher, and completing the evaluation.

Learning Outcomes:

1.Describe the epidemiology, pathophysiology and diagnostic evaluation of the adult patient with a brain tumor and the evidence-based recommendations.
2.Discuss evidence-based management of the adult patient with a brain tumor and nursing implications.
3.Summarize patient and family education for the adult patient with a brain tumor and evidence-based recommendations.
