AANN Webinar: Food for Thought: The Science of Food and the Brain

This webinar will familiarize participants with the basics of food science and connect misunderstood terms in the world of food science to dietary therapies for the neuro patient. Join us for this webinar presented by Erin Fecske, APRN CPNP SNP CNRN, and food scientist Shoshanna Hoover to learn about research regarding diet and epilepsy as well as a general overview of food science terms. The live webinar will be held on May 12th at 12pm CT and will be available after that date as a recording. Attendees will be able to receive 1 hour of CE for attendance and completion of the evaluation following the webinar.


Learning Outcomes:
1. Become familiar with the basics of food science from the perspective of a food sensory scientist.
2.  Identify and understand food science terminology in order to better counsel patients on diet and nutrition.
3. Illustrate knowledge of general food therapies and their effectiveness relating to neurological disorders (such as epilepsy).

Product Details

Participants can receive 1 CE contact hour for attending the webinar or viewing the recording and completing the evaluation. CE for this recording will be awarded through May 11th 2028.
