The Certificate Program for the Neuroscience Advanced Practice Provider (Neuro-APP) is an assessment-based certificate program that uses instructional design principles to deliver an online self-paced educational course followed by a post-assessment. This course will equip participants with the tools to safely care for neuroscience patients as an Advanced Practice Provider, while providing quality care demanded by healthcare organizations, regulatory agencies, and patients.

Participants can earn 20 CE contact hours and Category 1 CME credits, and 5 pharmacology hours, and a certificate of completion by completing the course and passing the post-assessment with a score of >80% or higher. Participants who are advanced practice providers will earn an American Board of Neuroscience Nursing (ABNN) certificate of added education that indicates attainment of knowledge upon successful completion of the course.

Product Details

The Neuro-APP Certificate Program is a 6-month subscription and will begin from the date launched on the Learning Management System (LMS). Credits for this course will be awarded through July 28, 2029. The ABNN certificate of added qualification will be due for renewal 3 years after passing the post-assessment.

The American Association of Neuroscience Nurses is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The American Association of Neuroscience Nurses is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CEP: 13331).

This activity has been reviewed by the American Academy of Physician Associates Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 20 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid from 7/29/2026 to 7/28/2027. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. AAPA reference number: CME-2015652.
