The unique nature of aSAH necessitates specific nursing considerations and interventions. This clinical practice guideline (CPG) addresses care considerations based on evidence from seminal publications and the most recent decade of research (2013-2022). Resources and recommendations in this document reflect best practices that can help nurses provide optimal care for adults after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). This document is not intended to replace formal education but rather to augment the nurse’s knowledge base and provide a readily accessible reference.
Participants can be awarded 1.25 CE contact hours for watching the recording, passing the post-test with a score of 70% or higher, and completing the evaluation.

- Evaluate existing pain assessment tools applicability for clinical use in the aSAH population.
- Review the current evidence supporting pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic intervention for aSAH-related hemorrhage.
